Stacey Ishman, MD, MPH is a Professor of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Cincinnati, and Medical Director of Utilization Management at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She is also the current President of the International Surgical Sleep Society.
Dr. Ishman earned her medical degree from Rush Medical College and completed a residency in Otolaryngology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Johns Hopkins and underwent advanced sleep training as a member of the faculty from 2005 through 2013. She obtained her MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, is board certified in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology, and Sleep Medicine. She has authored 200 original research papers, 20 book chapters, and co-edited the newly published book entitled Essential Sleep Medicine. She is involved in multiple clinical trials focused on the care of children and adults with obstructive sleep apnea. She is also an invited lecturer nationally and internationally in the areas of pediatric and adult sleep and sleep surgery.
