Nikki Cleine

Nikki Cleine is the Lead Rehabilitationist at the Southern Cochlear Implant Programme in Ōtautahi, Christchurch. The bulk of her work is centred around supporting adult cochlear implant patients to reconnect with the world of sound using a combination of auditory training, counselling and technical support. She has a particular interest in the psychological changes undergone as a result of severe/profound hearing loss and is passionate about accessibility and hearing loss awareness.
Nikki is also a bilateral cochlear implant user so brings lived experience as both a profoundly deaf hearing aid wearer and a cochlear implant user to her role. |
