Mike is a New Zealand trained Otolaryngologist who completed his FRACS following an enjoyable period of training and research with both a Master of Medical Science (Otago) and a PhD (Auckland). Mike is the inaugural recipient of the Sir Patrick Eisdell Moore Clinical Research Fellowship and has been exploring ways to model and mitigate the cochlear injury associated with middle ear surgery. Mike completed a neurotology fellowship in Toronto and is an otologist at Christchurch Public Hospital. He has recently joined the Southern Cochlear Implant Program and is also involved in teaching junior medical colleagues through the University of Otago.
