Chris Thomson is a graduate of the University of Otago and completed his FRACS in New Zealand in 1998 followed by overseas experience in the UK, Melbourne (Paediatric ORL) and Sydney (FPS). His practice is focused on Rhinology, Facial Plastic Surgery and Paediatric ORL. He has an extensive experience and a particular interest in rhinoplasty surgery having performed over 1300 rhinoplasty cases.

​He is currently in full-time private practice at Forte Health, Christchurch where he has stood on the Board of Forte Health since its inception in 2014 until July 2020. He is a past secretary of the NZSOHNS and remains an honorary Consultant Otolaryngologist at Christchurch Public Hospital.
