Thyroidectomy and Neck Dissection
This video presentation will cover selected critical steps during thyroidectomy and selective neck dissection. Intraoperative nerve monitoring tube placement, upper thyroid pole division, and paratracheal node dissection will be some of the steps highlighted for thyroidectomy. Identification of critical structures and the technique of performing a selective neck dissection will also be demonstrated. Key steps for levels I, II, and IV will be explained.
Margin Status in Oral Cavity SCC Surgery
This video presentation will emphasize the importance of pre-operative planning to remove oral cavity tumors with adequate oncologic margins. Novel concepts such the mattress suture technique to excise oral tongue cancers will be demonstrated
Difficult Airway Management
This video presentation gives an overview of airway management which has become a new area of focus for ENT surgeons. We routinely address difficult airway patients with trauma or pharyngeal/laryngeal neoplasms. As a specialty we are well versed in securing difficult airway patients and this presentation will discuss current concepts and devices to help manage the difficult airway patient with our anesthesiology colleagues. The presentation will also highlight a multidisciplinary approach to securing a difficult airway patient as well as highlight newer devices that can facilitate endotracheal intubation with first pass success.
