Mike is a New Zealand trained Otolaryngologist who completed his FRACS following an enjoyable period of training and research with both a Master of Medical Science (Otago) and a PhD (Auckland). Mike is the inaugural recipient of the Sir Patrick Eisdell Moore Clinical Research Fellowship and has been exploring ways to model and mitigate the cochlear injury associated with middle ear surgery. Mike is very glad to be back in New Zealand having recently returned from Toronto following a COVID-19 influenced neurotology fellowship. He is an otologist at Christchurch Hospital and is involved in teaching audiology students and junior medical colleagues.
