Stuart is a Otolaryngologist, Head and Neck surgeon based in the Wellington region where he subspecialises in head and neck surgery and in particular, the management of oropharyngeal carcinoma.
Stuart trained in London followed by Higher Surgical Training in the South West of England and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He spent his Fellowship year at Groote Schuur and Red Cross Children’s hospitals in Cape Town. He was a consultant for six years at one of Britain’s busiest major Head and Neck units where he also served as the Clinical Director for ENT services for three years. Relocating to the Wellington region in 2022 he is a member of both the Wellington Regional Head & Neck and Thyroid Multidisciplinary Teams and is also current chair of the Central Region Head & Neck Network. He has acted as an advisor on the Head & Neck Optimal Cancer Care Pathway to the New Zealand Cancer Control Agency and sits on the International Collaboration Committee of the British Society of Head and Neck Oncologists. |
